I've only experienced old honda civic clutches that has a short distance to go but hard to push in. and then I've experienced the EP stock clutch. I think the travel distance for the clutch pedal is too much. Tell me what's your opinion of stock EP clutch and if you've done anything to the clutch.

The stock clutch is a stock clutch, feels like any other import with a hydraulic clutch, but it can be improved. Aftermarket clutchs of stage3 and above strength, usually have a much smaller engagement range.

Is there a way to adjust the engagment point of the clutch pedal with out changing the stock clutch? My friend said he was able to do it to his em2

Yes, change any distance at any of the pivot points of the system and you will change things. The easiest place is to add a washer behind the throwout arm pivot ball or lengthen the pedal pivot moment. Another option will be an aftermarket clutch master cylinder and pedal.

There are a lot worse feeling stock clutches out there. New VWs for example...absolutely no feel the them whatsoever.

Much shorter than my previous car, a tracker. Suzuki clutches really feel like motorcycle clutches... HUGE throw. My ma's toyota rav 4 has a really short quick engagement... Almost too short. That being said, I think the ep3 has a nice medium for clutch throw, but I wouldn't mind a little more stiffness in the pedal... all in all it's a pretty easy one compared to others

Mine is really loose...tech said its good, but I am going from stock clutch/fly to 10.25 Fly and RSX Type S stage 1 clutch.

I've owned 3 separate EP3's and had to adjust the pedal adjustment to my liking on all of them. That being said once adjusted (and lubed) they all worked flawlessly. The 05 I had always squeaked and I remedied that with some jig-a-loo

I hate the clutch. Had an 02 maxima with a 6 speed before and I absolutely loved that car. I could feel so much through the clucth pedal and didnt even care about the long throws. With my 03 ep i cant feel a single thing through the pedal. It's like going from, and pardon my analogy, having sex bare backed compared to wearing an entire box of condoms. A 12 pack...non lubricated.

Install the EM2 CMC, it doesnt have the damper system in it(triangular section of the stock CMC), it slows down the flow of fluid in and out of the CMC, also the damper is what blows out on the EP3/DC5 CMC.
