what would be the best k24 block and k20 head swap.......i want to make all motor without turbo, so what would be the best combo?

you would proably want to go with a K24A2 since it has the highest compression ratio, plus hp. and the internals are very strong.

k24a1 from the crv. u can jus do the straight k24a2 as zdiddy said. cant go wrong with neither. jus gotta find a cal to run on with the k24a1/k20a2 combo.

the k24a2 internals are by far the best of the k24's, the best head is probably the k20z1 since it has the closest cams to the type-r. but if you can get a complete k24a2 just leave it as is, it is very good as is.

k24a2 is your best bet.

unless your short on time/cash then just do a k24a1, and build it later on. Someone just posted a street tuned k24a1 that made 180whp and 160 Wtq thats pretty decent. add some cams to that and your talking over 200whp

thats fine, but mostly people want the vtec head from the type-s/tsx/06+si because of the 3lobe cam setup. you can make more power and retain good economy as well with those heads.

Am i goin to need to change engine mounts? could i put my skunk 2 cams and intake manifold from my k20 into the k24?

would i need to do anything to my block or car to get it to fit? so ur saying with the k24a2 block.....put a k20z3 head on it? what size gasket would work for the combo and what would i need to do with my ecu?

doesn't really matter if ur gonna build the internals any k24 block will do an any k20a, a2, or z1 head will do fine.. Im doin the same build. Kpro is the most important part..

I believe I gonna do this swap here soon in a a month i've gotta a k24A2 block just waitin for some money to come in then gonna buy the Z1 head . its gonna be nice .

if your building a motor, and it isn't a new block. You should count on Boring out the walls. I would never buy stock bore aftermarket pistons.

Go with the k24a2 it's a lot easier than the k20/k24. Popituyo. (I'm sure I spelled his m
Name wrong) his motors work I bought mine from him And it started first try.

K24a1will run it just dont step on it if you do you will bog out vtec will not work obviously.

The k24a2 swap is good, dont have to worry about switching over parts, all of that...

But if you really want to do a frank swap, got k24a1, overbore it to 87.5 and get some oversized tsx pistons and pick up some tsx rods.

The reason i say a1 is because if you choose to switch out oil pumps to achieve higher revs then you dont have to worry about machining the pump to fit the girdle.

The head is up to you. A2 is most common, but if you are interested in the z1s cams then go with that, either one will yield positive results, and probably higher numbers when properly tuned than a k24a2...

I don't think they make OEM pistons as big as .5 over. Might be only .25 over. From what i've seen.
