Hey guys, i'm from the UK and running EVO 8 Enkei's currently on a 225/45/ continental. I want to try out a staggered setup and use 245/40 front and 215/45 rear. Has anyone fitted a 245 in the front ? And are there any clearence issues ?

Cheers Rob

What is your suspension setup and how much are you lowered?

Spring rates:

245/45 with a +38 wheel on that setup will hit the fenders for sure.

Ok, Thanks for that. Any other suggestions as my 225/45s are a bit "soft" due to the larger side wall. 235/40s?

Another type r owner on this forum :) and that CTR is just gorgeous:mcool:

The mandantory question, have you tryed R888 or A048? I bet their sidewalls are stiffer on the same size, and with better grip. BUT they may end up beeing wider than a more normal tyre anyways. section width on trackday tyres tends be wider, than on more normal tyres even on the same size tire.
Did you have intensions for TA or was it just a trackday toy? dont remeber from reading on CTRO :)

27rocks has 17x9 +35's with 245/40-17's and clears up front. the only problem we have is the rear clearance which he'll take care of with 215's..

or

you can roll the rear fender and run 235/40-17's on all four corners..

That's only if you have enough camber and a stiff enough spring. With a 6k front spring at his stance, he will not make it.

If that is your concern, I would definately consider going with another tire that is more performance oriented. Something along the lines of a z1, re11, rt615 etc. 235/40 will definately help as the sidewall is slightly shorter.

Hi just an update on this i'm soon to be running 17x8.5 et30.

I'm strating off with 215s all round but will be trying 245s shortly.

What spring rates would i be able to go to without having to have the dampers revalved?

Cheers
