passenger door lock not working

the key fob doesnt open it and neither does using the switch on the driver side door. what should i be looking for in the door. the key does work, just not the electronics

There is not much to look at, if it's not mechanical, it's most likely your door lock actuator. I had to replace mine awile back, pretty hard to get to, so I would just fork over the 30 or so dollars for the actuator and have it on-hand if you don't see something obvious like a metal rod hanging loose or a loose connection which are not likely unless someone has been in there before.

Mine is doing the same thing. I think I will be ordering the actuator and just replace it.

I pull;ed my actuator out and took it apart. Little motor had carbon build up in the armature. Cleaned it and put it back in.


Would have been easier to by a new one though.

Thats my advice.
