I was wondering if wheels 17x8 with an offset +53 and 225/45 tires would fit on a 1"lowered EP without rubbing? would i need spacers with longer studs?

no. the offset it too high. go with another wheel. you will rub the suspension. and there's a thread for these types of questions :mwink::
