k20z3 tranny fit on the k20a3?

So I have have to replace the rear main seal on my tranny and for the price I have to pay to reopen it and reseal it (and addon an lsd while im at it)...I might as well buy a stock k20z3 6 speed with lsd.

Is the k20z3 6speed a direct fit onto the k20a3? Or is there anything I should know before I pull the trigger...and how would it change my performance or 1/4 miles times?

there was a guy on here that was going to do this, but i think he found out that it would probably be cheaper to open up the casings (or it was a problem with his casing) and exchange internals. becasue there might be some modding to the z3 casing to bolt up to the a3 and then the speed converter modification too
