I went to mount my minty fresh 06 si wheels on my ep today and the rears fit fine but the fronts ended up grinding a little bit off the caliper:mcry:. My question is, should i be ok running a 5mm eibach hub centric spacer on them without having to use a hub centric ring? i'm not looking to be "hellaflush" or anything, i just want these wheels to fit and i'm a noob when it comes to wheel spacers.

that's what people do to fit these wheels.. their hub/spoke position is weird for their specs..

thanks for the info. i did a little research and found out that the si wheel will just clear the caliper bracket with 3mm spacers and i won't need extended studs, as long as i can get a good 7-8 turns out of the lugnuts.

Just to clear this up for future reference if anyone wants to use the 06+ civic si wheels. When i first put them on the front they were grinding off the caliper bracket just the slightest bit so i ordered a 3mm T1R wheel spacer from evasivemotorsports.com for around $80 shipped. put the spacer on today and the wheel cleared the bracket by about a millimeter. With this small of a spacer, the wheel sits on the hub just fine and i can get a good 7-8 turn out of the lugnuts and also there's no vibrations when i'm going 60+ mph so i'm sure this is going to work out fine.

here's some pics i snapped today.

this is a bit odd because well i know a couple people running these on their ep3 and the wheels clear, but then again those guys did 5lug swaps so i'm not sure?

i know that they clear the type s calipers because guys run em on dc5's no problem but i guess the ep3 and the rsx base need a 3mm spacer for them in order to fit.

I believe this is true. I swapped RSX type s brakes onto my '03 EP3 and the '06 Civic SI wheels fit fine as is. I know there have been a few owners of '04/'05 SI's with stock brakes that have had this clearance problem.
