I just kept it on the passengers side. I never use the one in the car anyway. I would have bought the uk ones with the switch on the left hand side otherwise. Easier and cleaner than trying to mod them.

Wtf, why does it say my last post was edited by someone? When I myself didn't even edit it?

What is the benefit of typer door panels over just replacing the si door panel fabric with red recaro fabric?

no real benefit.

superchargedep3 had a shop do the install.
they might have told him how it was done though.
I'm curious. I was thinking of doing the insert, I bought the recaro material to do it... but I'm just going to say "screw it" and buy the real thing.
I won't be happy if I go the replica route knowing I'm still able to get the real thing.

While on the subject...thought this was kind of interesting. Honda made a few lightweight no-frills CTR's.

They came with manual crank windows and manual door locks.

haha...would be pretty neat to have; but I'd imagine those are probably the rarest of the rare with all things EP related.

I've only seen one of those lightweight JDM CTRs, someone in England bought one (where I found the door panel picture): http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=178517

Im upset that u guys dont know my user name after all this time on here. hurts... But Yes the JDM panels can use the locks on the USDM one so u can get rid of that pesky lock on the passenger side. Ill get some close ups when my camera charges

how long did you have that fabric on your car for? My friend did the same exact thing with walmart fabric his si and the fabric has faded to an awful pink color. Mind you his door panels did look GREAT and legit for a while

nope, In UK they drive on the same side of the road as they do i jdm land aka japan.. the rest of europe drives on the seme side of the road as you guys. So Mainland europe CTR door panels work for you guys :)

any Norway honda dealerships friendly enough to ship items stateside?

LLH
09-18-2010, 06:02 PM
haha.. you know, they dont even have online part stores like you guys have. And if i walk into a dealership and ask for a part, i most likely have to wait a week or more for it to arrive... Honda norway dosent have a warehouse full of parts, most parts are located in holland/netherlands/belgum (or whatever the man behind the desk said last time i was there) some parts even for the EP3, according to the man begibnd the desk, had to be shipped from japan... I dont belive that, but thats just me :P Did i mention that they empty your wallet twice and burn it afterwards before you can walk out the door? oh yes.. 1 strut bearing in norway cost 700NOK or 115$.... I dont think i have to say anything more :P I order my parts from the U.S Or UK if i can :)

Wowww!

So my conclusion for Norway is:

vacation, ok some possibility to go there

have some car repair there....no thank you...

if you need something, then let me know...guess german prices are cheaper than the norwegain ones.
