Well guys its been almost 5 years with my ep3, and within almost 100K i can say i am truly happy with my car, and this car in general. i love the EP3 and i want to buy another as a daily, its such a fun vehicle to daily and even at my present engine setup im still clicking off 27mpgs and higher. I've meet some great people on this forum and without it this car would have not came this far. I remember buying this car the ripe age of 17 (1 months before 18th bday) and wondering why the hell i couldnt hear vtec haha. The car i was driving before the EP3 was this bad boy:

i sold the EJ8 after about 1.5 years and a Z6 swap took place of the Y8 I bought the hatch certified used at Sussex Honda for 17,988$ out the door (thats with taxes/titles/liscensing included) with 17K on her.

And from then on it didnt take me long to acquire parts, like my spoilerdepot wing, buddyclub prospec exhaust, JDM badging and union jack badge, carbon hood, and type-r front lip haha

Then after a little while i got bored, and thought i didnt like the ep3 so she went to all stock and i sold the rota's and the buyer of the rota's wanted my stock ep3 wheels so we traded ep wheels for 02-04 type-s wheels in preparation for the sale of the car

but while this was going on a very good freind was reversing in a Sonoma and didnt look out his passenger side window :meek:

The damage tally was a few cents shy of 3000$ so i took it to a trusted body guy in my area, and then the decision was made to switch the car to Milano Red R81 (door and trunk jams as well)

im not to sure yet, havent ran with this setup. but the evo i raced went 13.2 at 104 and i pulled a little bit on him from a 1st gear roll, about a half car length all the way to 150mph so i'd imagine right around there

Just a small suggestion......:mangel: The Volvo lip ( IMO) would set your car off on the rite foot :msmile: I don't know if I would color match it, but a black lip would look sick on your car.....:mwink::msmooch::mbiggrin:

That volvo lip looks awful, type R lip would look way better, actually any lip would look way better than that. HFP rear lip would look nice on your car too. there all in, the meth pump is mounted down in the wheelwell, the tank is mounted under the hood and the line is tapped in the intake, my three inch exhaust is all done and set, and my crank pulley is awaiting the morning of the tune. my tuner is cutting me a sickSICKsick rate because i am compound,polish, and waxing his new ap1 :) he's also wiring my meth pump to kpro and its game time. my clutch/flywheel is going in the winter and my 225/50/16 Hoosier DOT legals are getting mmounted:

thanks alot man, i dont wanna ditch the A3. i got a few runs with a JRSC 06' Type-S coming up :) he's on 11psi though, thats why ill wait till after the retune ;) but dude dont shy away from the water/meth. its an amazing upgrade for us jrsc guys. as long as the kit in installed properly there's nothing to worry about. solder and shrink your connections and your gold!

i know dude im pshyced and im nervous. i have no clue what this thing will do on the dyno. the new pulley definately gave this thing more power in the butt dyno even with the tune being thrown around so much, and thats not even with the meth. there's kids on CRSX that see 30+/- HP just from the meth kits alone

My car put down 230whp with my old mods. I'm hoping with the new header, exhaust, intake, meth, cams, and larger crank pulley I can smash out over 260whp.

Ah and BTW I found a guy local who has a K24A2 with 16K miles + papers AND a new type R trans and he wants 4K for both. The trans is still in the box and the motor is an 06. LUCKY! I'm picking them up and have already setup getting them in the car late next month/early Jan :mtongue: I need 300-325whp + 75 shot to have a chance at beating anyone around here. After cooler, meth, and N20 FTW. Except the whole pulling over to open the bottle.. remote bottle openers suck when you want to fill the bottle (ask me how I know.......)

there she is man. the tank is mounted between the fuse box and valve cover, its a 1.8 quart universal washer fluid tank from autozone. as for a check valve, i dont need to run one supposedly, apparently the check valve is only for use if you rrun the nozzle after the throttle body, therefor it would siphon out of the line but who knows, if i need it ill order it after the tune. and as for the k24a2 and trans that sounds like heaven lol idk about the trans, with the low redline of the k24 that trans would be more harm then good, thats why im sticking with the 5 speed, if you watch video's of a3's with a 6 speed (same redline, 7700-7800) by 100mph they are in the 5th gear. FIFTH! im still in third, making the chance for driver error a lot less, plus youll get to enjoy the torque you have. it wont be there and then gone. Im actually gunning to break 260whp, i think with 3-4more psi, water/meth, and a 3" exhaust should do the trick. if all that doesnt give more than 19whp i will be pissssssssssssssssssssssssssed lol

why put the tank under the hood?? that spot will get hot in no time.

well thats where it is for now, when funds get higher ill get a snow tank and relocate my battery, and mount the tank where the battery was. but surprisingly, yes, the fluid does heat up, but by the time it travels down into the pump and up into the intake, it's cold again. thats the wonderful cooling properties of methanol :)

I love your car! I have a JRSC on a 97 coupe with a built D16 in it. I have been debating water meth on and off and will be purchasing it this winter. Yours shows that water meth does make a difference power wise, though I am more worried about cooling the motor since it has slightly higher compression than stock.

Do you have your car tuned with or without the water meth?

i have it tuned with the switch on and the switch off, so essentially yes, and the funny part is, we could have made over 280hp but we decided to keep it safe since i no longer have a failsafe, if the pump fails full throttle i have no way of knowing, until i get my status flow sensor from cooling mist :)
