View Full Version : Will Larger Wastegate Help Boost Creep on Peakboost Manifold?

I know a lot of Peakboost kits ship with a 44mm TiAL wastegate. I just picked up a Peakboost manifold/downpipe/test pipe setup, and I am about to purchase a new wastegate, as the current wastegate from my RevHard manifold has a different flange.
My turbo compressor side is pretty big, and I'm shooting for 20-25psi. I'm currently using the Mac valve boost control solenoid.
Will I experience boost creep at this level? Should I use a 44mm or 60mm wastegate? What are the pros and cons of each size?

You will need to have a new port and flange welded on the manifold to run the 60. Also a new dump tube.
If you have a good tuner you won't have creep with the 44.

Great to know. Thanks to you two for sharing your input.
Keep your eye out for phase 2 of my turbo endeavor.
