TUNED and LOVING IT :)

SO i was at the dyno ALL freakin day. And am LOVING the outcome. Stupid me forgot my camera, of course! Heres the build if u dont know by now http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?53504-My-turbo-build!
They tuned for a good 6 hours today. I got there at 10am and they tuned till about 6pm at night. Now there was a lunch break in between but They spent all day on my car just tuning the driveability. And I love the outcome. Car runs great, and responses like a mouther.

Well on to the numbers. Before anyone bashes that my numbers are low be aware that Im only running at 11psi and also my tuner is very conservative. I was tuned on a superflow Dyno which reads more accurate than a Dyno Jet. But his dyno can calculate the Dyno jet numbers. SO i have both. So first onto the dyno jet numbers since thats what most people are tuned on. Car made 327whp and 306wftq with the dyno Jet numbers

The Superflow numbers came at 309whp and 290 wtq

AWESOME! I told you that your torque was going to be insane and above that tq rating for the clutch. Easy on the burnouts so that clutch lasts a little while!

Oh and pick up an RBC manifold!

Dude im done. All im doin now is touchin up the car. TOmorrow my CTR wheels get repainted. Gettin new tranny fluid, and i have a tiny leak comin from the crank seal. Then the honda gets a nice detail job. and thats it. Pampered it enough this year lol

I might boost it to 14psi with a stronger clutch but for now im totally happy with this. I always tell myself that for FWD street driven 300whp is the max.

THanks man. BIg thanks to you. If u never did it i prolly wouldnt have. But yea i dont wana race it. The tq steer is scary. I cant keep it in 1 lane yet. I still gotta learn how to control the wheel

nice numbers. u can pretty much take on all street cars now. jus be careful of tq steer. lsd would fix that problem in a heartbeat. i got wider rims to help with it

I hear you on that... dont rush nothing wait till you get comfortable then romp on somebody haha. But in time I will go back to FI, taking care of little things now like you are, for me its brakes and clutch.

So did you replace the timing chain tensioner on the new motor? I would if you haven't. Hybrid Racing sells the best looking one in my opinion. Very nice numbers. I am in the process of building up a k24z1 with a k20z3 head fully built for boost. I remember when I just got my turbo on, fun stuff for sure. have fun with it. Whats your redline BTW?

I have a 06+ Si tensioner on it. Redline is 7100.

thanks talon! yea the tune is very conservative. the car actually made 335 whp on one of the pulls but the tuner didnt like the a/f. so then it dropped to 327. I feel 300 is enough for a DD fwd car

Thanks! Car is so much fun. After all the lil bugs have been taken care of the car has been running like a champ. Got into a few races here and there and so far i can say nothing has beaten me yet! Very Fun!
