My goal for my car was 500hp or close to that i planned on tracking it a good amount its also my DD but now since im really busy with school and my job it seems like im not gonna be tracking it that much and it seems like alot of power to barely even be using it,

So im trying to decide if i should save some money and just buy a log manifold or should i go with the sidewinder what do you guys think the turbo that i have is a garret gt30r what kind of power would i see from the log manifold

thanks

I actually have a custom T1 sidewinder, not going to mention price. I made 499.9 with a log manifold on e85 with a good tuner, full race fmic, custom piping and a gt3082r w 3" exhaust. If you get a really good turbo and fmic along with a SS log manifold. Mixed with a good tuner and good fuel you should do great.

:tehehyper: no sweat I just love the fact that we compared mine to a full-race and The rusults were not close with the same turbo. I would think Peakboost, and full-race would be just fine for 600+ though.

Yes I drove it in the rain pouring rain, and snow....im in tx, id just stay at home that day if that was my only car. Just because a motor makes 600@ xxpsi does not mean your making more than 180whp cruising on the highway. Thats the beauty of a turbo car, boost = hp, cruising= no boost. A honda will drive like a honda out of boost.

seeing your from chicago and summer is right around the corner id go ahead and do this then find something for the winter to drive. you know how chicago can be in the winter. look at 2 winters ago the roads sucked really bad.

I agree with mitch... Im not at the power level of him but soon to be in the 400-450 range. Mine makes 300whp right now and has for the last 5 years, it has been dd'ed 3 years of that. If you have an ignorent right foot yes it will get you in trouble and multiple tickets..lol. If you display any sort of common sense you will be fine with 300whp or even 600. Its all in the driver:mwink:

Any real Fab/race shop can most likely make it work. Have you called TD autowerks and ask how much for a top mount log with a custom 44mm gate? I know they were the guys selling them on ebay and all the forums.

I guess you have to drive one and find out.

Mine is built for 500whp (stage 5 pp and stage 4 disc). The only thing different when not boosting is clutch pressure and even thats not too bad. Without boosting, its completely stock.

I drive to Atlanta from Charlotte every Friday and back every Sunday for three years now. Went from 25K to 150K miles. No problems.

Log manifolds can have up to a 4-5:1 pressure ratio as apposed to just about any tube type that would only have 2.5-3:1 ratio. That ratio will make a 38 on a log flow like a 60 on a sidemount.

Fyi-higher Hp requires less wastegate relief.
