2 years ago on July 4th, 2008 my parents and i were on a family visit to Tijuana, Baja California. At the time my parents and i were searching for a car for myself because i was a high school junior and i needed some way to get around..we had originally agreed on an 03 VW GTi. While on my trip there i saw the EP i currently own. I fell in love and after a test drive i decided and convinced my parents to purchase the EP. after bringing the EP across the border and applying for tags/plates i was informed that a CHP inspection was in order for me to be able to obtain plates/tags (car was originally from Hawaii..was imported to TJ and then to the US by me)..little did i realize the trouble i was about to get in. CHP inspection officer told me that i had failed the test and needed to replace:

passenger door (this is the reason why my EP is a VBP with an SSM door)
complete SRS unit
catalytic converter
windshield

after 1 year and a half and $7k later..my EP finally had its plates and is close to stock.

i have spent many frustrating days with my EP and i have been close to selling it on various occasions..but after thinking about it and washing it i fall in love with it all over again. my EP is my first car..but its special because of everything that i go thru with it and its teaching me as i go. i am now a college freshman and i have finally began making it appear the way i want it to look (engine-wise i wont do anything yet until i have a better understanding of motors). i have a long way to go before i am satisfied with it (who knows if ill ever be satisfied with it :tehe:) but i know its here to stay for a long time

well i was gonna use these projectors for my next car..but if you want em ill send em your way i just need to make adjustments and put HID's in there

Sometimes I really wish I went with VBP, it just looks so good with the type r lips in either jdm or usdm form. Nice job, my favorite is definitely the first pic though!
