i wanna know the most HP any one has seen out of a naturally aspirated K24A2 on pump gas. im building one up and need a number to beat. the highest i have found is 301hp and 266ft/lbs.

um yeah doubt that was just with drop in internals.
how bout a stroker kit to bump it up to a 2.6 with a head job and big ass cam lobes.
no way in hell a 2.4 will push those numbers as an n/a unless youre spraying to hell or boosting.

Put in some really high compression pistons and run some drag Cartel Cams. With the supporting exhaust and an RBC intake manifold you should be well over the 300whp mark.

im thinking about letting blue print rebuild the block with 89mm bore sleeves with 12.5:1 compression pistons. and then some flat face valves to make the compression just under 13:1 so i can still use pump gas. then with some upgraded injectors an RBC and race exhaust. im hoping to be pushing some high numbers. still trying to decide what cam set up to go with.

Don't Do it!

Well the flat face valves that is. You only use flat face valves to increase compression when you have already bought pistons and are looking to increase compression at any cost. Just get 13.5:1 or 13:1 Pistons from the start and keep the dished valves. You will make more power and you will more importantly keep the Valve train light.

they will make you custom pistons, just ask for 13:1 or around their. i would do 13.5:1 if your looking for big power.

Blue print is great, and the added Bore will help a little with some more HP.

that sounds better. i wasn't sure if they would make custom pistons for me. i need to call them and talk to them about it. and im hesitant to go higher the 13. but if i can go higher on 91 octane that would be preferred. trying to stay some what reliable.

It will be as reliable as the builder, and the tuner make it. To bad you don't have E85. Makes my car nice and fun.

Have you looked into the ERL budget k24? ERL is a great builder. And you can save some Coin if you buy everything prebuilt.

looking at ERL it seems as though they they want more for the engine sleeving then there stroker kit is 2400 on top of that. i do like there stroker kit for the price though. this is the first time i have looked at them. i wonder if there is a way to keep the honda crank to same some money. i know i wont get the 102 stroke but i wonder how much cash i could save.

Damn your all talking way to advance terms for me. I got lost after the 13....:L5..>:51.2. Whichever it was. LoL Sorry off topic gave my self a small headache with the numbers.

ha ha sorry man. to break it down stock compression on a k24a2 is 10.5:1. k20a3 is 9.8:1(i think) more compression=more power. but anything above like 13.5:1 your gunna need higher octane fuel (premium pump gas is 91 octane) to prevent the pre-detonation of fuel before its suppose to. causing big problems. most companies peak the pistons in the center to make more compression. but anything to make the space smaller helps like thinner head gaskets or flat face valves.

Team 1320 have a N/A k24 stroked out to a 2.6 thats outputing 360 whp and 260 wtq, I believe. Look it up it's a beautiful build inside an eg hatch.

I wouldn't want to push more than 299hp FWD

it's a really dependant on how many stickers you have.....

well i know stickers make all the difference but there just getting so damn expensive now-a-days. so i think im just gunna go with an 89mm bore and 13.5 pistons. and if some extra cash happens to pop up maybe even a 102mm crank.

Niko's the owner of K20a.org offers pre-built K24's. Pretty good motors too. Also i know ERL offers cheaper built K24's. Your not going to need a Sleeved block. Just good rods and pistons. 12.5:1 compression and some great cams, will got you close to 300whp with supporting Mods.

You are no fun. If drivabilty is your concern, then you don't want much more then 200~220whp on a car as heavy as an EP.

My car is most likely making around 220whp because it is barely tuned. Car walks likes it no ones bussiness. 1st gear to Quote my brother "Pointless, and a major waste of your tires and my spilled coffee".
