I want to add a 12 V lighter or power outlet to the right of the shifter where a blank button is located. Anyone done this and can you help me do it? The Si TypeR that is sold in UK has a lighter already installed in the location that I want to install one.

Armrest. Anyone know how and where I can get an armrest for my Si?

im glad our stereo in on the upper part of the deck.. cuz even now when people change stations/control volume. i have a hard time shifting.. in the ctr's lower deck.. i'd imagine it be a nightmare for others to touch ur radio while ur shifting.

I actually like the type r dash. If you had a pop out lcd screen it wouldn't get in the way of the vent.

Is there something wrong with the one (12V outlet) located in the
bottom centre of your head unit??

Nothing wrong with the one outlet I have. If you read earlier post I explain that I want to have a radar detector and computer plugged in at same time.

Why cant you just get one of those splitter adapters. They make both solid and cable style.

those buttons are probably the ac control, recirc, and rear defogger. i don't see them anywhere else in that pic.

I like the type R dash much better than ours and plan on doing a conversion once i can find some cash. and get the bolt on mods i want first

You need a power inverter. I'm not saying this model, but this is what you need: http://www.donrowe.com/inverters/cobra_500.html

A nice 500W should be able to support 3 notebooks. And even though you said it wasn't the case... DON'T SMOKE IN YOUR SI!

Have you figured out how to install the second power outlet right of the shifter?

Do you know if you buy the cigarette accessory kit from collegehillshonda.com, will that kit fit in the hole right of the shifter??

I don't recall seeing another plug where I can plug the adapter in like the one on the lower dash (the adapter that looks like a T connector).

Thanks.

And no, I do not want to install it to smoke nor do I need it for running any other electronic devices since I've my radar detector hardwired as well as my digital compass. I just need something to burn papers to keep warm inside the car just incase I get stuck in the snow storm.

Here's your armrest.

120,000 Yen, this is on the CTR page of honda.co.jp, i would imagine FiZZ or another importer would bring it in for you with an overseas order they bring across the pacific.

i tried posting a pic, but the image just doesn't agree with my will to download it.

here's the link:

Thanks for the link to the armrest.

I would never put that THING in my Si though.

I'm trying to get Husco to make one for the Si.

Email them and ask for an armrest for the Si!

Husco (http://www.husco.com/cgi-bin/ePages.storefront/3e033be0009a2eaa0000c0a801b805d6/ePages/Customer/Vanity/vanity/www.husco.com)

Have sort of figured out how to put the put the additional outlet in, it is going to have to wait until I have more time to take things apart.

in another post someone said the armrest i linked you to is actually for the back seat......so i guess it wouldn't work anyway.

I, too, want to install the cig lighter to the right and just above the shifter. I want to use it for my cell phone hands free kit. I took apart the dash, but couldn't find the wires... I tried the dealer and ordered the accessory lighter but it only came with instructions to install it in lower position.

I've ordered the service manual, but haven't received it yet. :'(

Can someone look in the Service/Electrical Manual for me and see if there is a two wire harness for this accessory? Thanks! ;)
