knock knock whats there?

I own an 04 k20a3 with 99000 miles. I don't beat the motor too hard. Tonight i started it and it was beginning to knock badly from the left side of the head. I looked down and my intake tube had popped off. I havent opened the hood in about two weeks and i have no idea how long it was off for. Was this most likely the cause and is there anything i can do?

My advice is to order a k24a1 and when it arrives, sit in your driveway and keep it floored for a few minutes to make sure your motor doesn't work anymore.

Or check your oil?

I was looking at whats needed to do the k24 swap but I am confused. Why do I need kpro to run the k24? Cant i just use the ecu from that motor? Kpro seems way to expensive if I am just looking for a stock k24 setup.
