They didnt tune for the meth. Its really just being used as a cooling tool for the hot summers day. When i went to the tuner i told em my goal and he went beyond what i wanted plus im only at 11psi. The k24 has tons more left just from driving it. Plus the clutch i bought is only good for 300ft tq which i beleive is to the crank. Im puttin 306 to the wheels, another reason why I didnt want to up it anymore. 300whp is enough i think for a street car that is somewhat a DD.

As some of you may know ( mostly the turbo guys) my transmission has taken a shit on me. I would love to have fixed it now , but funds are tight and summer is over, my Ep is not my daily driver , so fixing the trans now didn't make much sense. So this winter I'm hoping to fix a bunch of tiny little issues with the car. Nothing to major , but I'm hoping to come back better than ever next year. So this thread is just to share my progress over the winter. I might add more boost but for now that's the last thing to do on here. Every update will have pics and a quick description on this post...

So first at hand one thing i was never to pleased with were my choice of gauges. This is the current setup, aem wideband , autometer cf egt gauge, and eBay glowshift gauge ( surprised on how accurate this gauge is and has worked flawless for years)

I used it mostly when I was jrsc. I was able to advance timing a lot. The turbo I'm using it more as a safety factor. And almost everyone i have talked to keeps telling me to keep it that way and not use it as a power adder. But u can Definately use it as a power adder . You can even use the nos option in kpro to use it. All up to you. Good luck with it

i got retuned in june- added a smaller boost pulley and the meth. picked up 30+whp from the meth and 1 psi increase in boost- made 327whp/ 243wtq @9psi on one of the hottest/ humid days of the summer... made a believer out of me.

yea mine wont be around until next spring or summer- car should finally be going into the body shop to clean up 9+ yrs of daily driving along with some final brake/ susp shit. videos like that are the main reason why i didnt pull the trigger on a turbo setup when i was looking at boost options... too much power for my needs lol.

Both the pump and tank are mounted in the trunk all the way on the driver side and my battery is right in the middle where the spare tire used to be

Get it. I could never find a edm a few years ago. Now its alot easier to get em. And i got rid of the jrsc caus I wanted more power, jrsc just wasnt cutting it. And so car spec is holding good. I'm making way over the tq capacity its rated for and its holding nicely..... Knock on wood

You are funny!! Unfortunately i do not own those, but they are ease to install . They also clear 16" rims easy to. It was just a badass back ground I found. lol
You are right about the bumpers though. They look good in low light , but that was one thing I think the body skimp on. In the right angle you can see where is was shaved. The backs look better cause I fucked my front when it was lower. I ran into a parking curb!! lol. What size of turbo are you running?

I'm sure thst spoon brake kit is insanely expensive anyways lol. Do u know how much they cost? Turbo is a 60 trim, if i remwmber. If u go to showstoppers website I have revhard stsge 2 kit. I'm pretty sure that's what it came with lol

Not really! I found some that are 1525$ to 1600$, but that is cheap in comparison to project M or Endless big brake kits that sell easily over 3 grand.Oh, but nice pick up on the rev hard kit. those are some solid numbers. Is that with the meth kit or with out?

A great place that heard allot of bad things about until I tried them is JHPUSA. Shipping is little pricey but it is very fast, and good customer service. there is other places, but thats the one I am on right now. I order from corsport many times but they made me mad most of the time so I switch to jhp. I didnt have any problems with showstoppers either

Ha yea I tried ordering a Seibon mugen hood and progress sway bar from corsport for black Friday sale. Showstoppers gave me an incredible deal compared to them. I was very disappointed with corsport

LOL! Well talked to my shop. they got my trans out and opened. 4 gear teeth are broke, 3rd and 5th arw worn, bearings are worn , spider gears worn. Got in touch with Dave at syncrhotec. Put in an order for a fresh 5spd trans with carbon synchros and a m factory LSD! Gona see if I can snap some pics of the damage tomorrow

So guys she's finally back home. Everything came out clean and pretty much perfect. My boost settings are right where I want em, plus in the winter its set to run lower boost. I punched it in first . Then after going into 2nd right after there was nothing. I thought the clutch shattered . But after inspecting the passenger axle right by the boot it is all loose. Either it broke or it popped out.

Idk i think oem axles is the way to go- Id rather break an axle then pop the trans... Thats just me though

Ive had two support bearings blow on two different half shafts... both were new to start. As a precaution... check yours since it was that side that went.

Under load my half shaft would come out of the trans, leak fluid, pop out of the diff if i stayed on it, and pop back in when i let off. Scared the shit out of me every time its happened.

There were no obvious parts missing, but a brass ring jingling around the half shaft between the trans and bearing support, and you could literally flex the bearing support off axis once it was unbolted from the block. To this day i dont think anyone else has reported this happening to them... but it never hurts to look.

Haven't had any problems. Is ur trans broke? Synchrotec has good customer service. Dave answers all emails and actually returns phone calls. Alot of performance places can't say that. I would deal with them just for the service alone. Customer service is a big plus for me.

Knock on wood but my 12 yr old trans is still smooth as butter- i am hoping it last me the season at these power levels. Regardless of its condition id like to do a full rebuild over the winter- add the LSD, carbon synchros, etc. Then hopefully i can catch any issues before it happens. Synchrotec seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't think a full rebuild is worth it. Unless ur doing it urself. Once ur trans breakes synchrotec doesn't rebuild ur trans. They send u one already built with the specs u ask. Then they give u 500 for ur broken trans

And on side note I guess my pilot sports gave me more traction. .... broken axle shaft

They told me the dust shields need to be removed on the hubs for this axles to work properly. I've never heard of this term. Looking it up on a honda diagram it makes no reference to dust shields either. Maybe one of u guys can confirm this for me

I would also contact DSS and find out what they do with their axles. Their customer service is great. I can't imagine why the dust shields need to be out though. I always thought that clicking you mentioned was a sign that the axles were on their way out/had more play.

Dust shields... as in the metal shields that cover the backside of the rotor? How the hell would that make a difference on axle fitment?

In my experience... clicking in new axles indicate they are too long and the internals are binding.

Well guys. I'm almost positive that my axles are not the source of my clanging sound. I did some detective work and notice the sound only happens under certain loads /vibrations. So I turned my windows up and turned the ac on to get a little load going... and the results , check out the video. Going off of first gear only hightens the sound. Now just gotta figure out wtf is broken /loose

Sooooo I think I found what was clanging. Turned out my spoon torque Damper was pretty loose and was clanging around. Not a 100% since I didn't tighten it down yet. But almost positive
