k24a8 turbo setup/ tune 5/20/10

so im going 2 get tuned on thursday by jeffevans and i cant wait,
i have a k24a8 turbo setup
heres my set up
k24a8 wit stock bottom, bc stage 2 fi/na cams, rbc , 50 trim turbo, tail 38mm wg, hks bov
3 inch exhaust and downpipe, 750cc rc, walbro 255 fuel pump, highh flow fuel rail,
peek boost front mount, 4 bar map, 6 speed lsd tranny wit stage 4 clutch and a lot of othere lil things, so hopefully i make good numbers, im shotin for 350hp and a whole hell of alot of torque lol. wat u guys think?

My boy had his k20a3 tuned, Kpro, 650cc or lower injectors idk, tanabe exhaust, peekboost full kit and made about 330.

You should pass the 400hp mark easily with all that !!!

sorry 4 the delay guys but i was downn allday mann, it blew up on the dyno. i was sooo pisssed. this shit left me flat broke for it 2 blow up,. it is wat it is

well he started by sayin vtec wasnt workin , then oil light came on so he reseted the oil light and tryed again. after he tryed agin he started 2 hear a noise, he thought it was my intercooler pipeing rubbin. he countined 2 raise the boost and the noise got louder then i ended up getin a loud ass rod knock. come 2 find out my oil pump had failed. long story short my car has a bad knock and i made 302hp on 7lbs with a knock

soooo ur oil light comes on then he "resets" it? didnt check ur oil? plus ur vtec wasnt workin? isnt that another sign of low oil? Then hears a funny noise and decides to up ur boost? wow wat a fail. if ur vtec isnt workin why did the tune continue? sounds like ur tuner couldve avoided ur engine being blown

i wasnt there so u would know best. If u say its not his fault i beleive you. All i know is, the first thing u wrote was there was a vtec malfunction. That alone shouldve stopped the tuning process. Plus u hear a strange noise and instead of sourcing it u continue to beat the piss out of ur car? dont sound right to me but again I wasnt there so i cant say anything.

I know nothing about dyno tuning but if oil light pops on, vtec not functioning properly, and hear a noise, yet continue to up the boost some shit was wrong with his fucking head !!!!

That could have been avoided big time !!! But what do I know hes Jeff Evans right !!!

lets not jump to conclusions based one one or two sentences from the OP. I highly doubt the oil light goes on, weird noises are made, and one of the most reputable tuners in the east goes, "hey ill crank the boost!". lets be logical.

I know from experience. If your knock sensor is shot. the car will let you know. not soon, not later. right then.

When i frst installed my turbo in the a3. it let me know. and that my primary o2 was no good.

true story.. my knock sensor went after i did my tune. and if i reset the code it came right back.. i drove the car out of boost until i installed the new one.. our cars have too many safety features to have such a beginner mistake.. the only way i can say it wasnt the tuners fault is that the OP maybe didnt do some parts of the install correct and left supm loose and then it was all too late to stop it. I am not impressed by anything done too much here lately.. im'a stick to my tuner lol cuz at least hes logical about shit.. i dont have the highest numbers but my car is reliable as shit and i made a bunch of torque on a cheap setup lol.. one thing when i was getting tuned is that we did the walkover with the car and while at the shop we did a compression test and one cylinder checked out a lil low.. so the car was tuned with that in mind.. adding a lil extra fuel to it.. anyone that tuned a car before knows that 3rd cylinder is usually troublesome.. but i guess its back to the drawing board for the OP and this kinda has a lurking bad for the tuner... i dunno the dude but Kev swears by him so i guess we shouldnt jump to conclusions here and yes something is missing.. there is always 3 sides to a story

idk guys, i no it wasnt the tuner. if any thing it was the builder, he prolly missed something stupid. my thing is now wat do i do? im thinkin of just getin another stock motor and not even touching it , just throw it in and tune it on boost. im sure i can sell my motor 2 some1, the head iis still good.
