Well, here is my situation. I have a turbo'd a3 with a greddy kit. I have been thinking about getting away from a turbo car and going back to all motor, something stockish. Here are my thoughts right now:

Keep the car how it is with the turbo

Swap a k24a2

Swap a k20a2

Or possibly

Swap a k20a

I am wondering how much power these swaps could make being k-pro tuned with the stock setups and what you guys think.

On a side note I drive almost a 100 miles a day for work and I have been looking into getting another car for weekend fun.

k24a2, same power and more torque than a k20a2 and to me there is no point to getting a k20a than to claim you paid a premium for a hype-r motor.

K24A2, but definitly need a Type-S trans

I have one with my stock EP3 trans. Rips hard as hell in 1st, but all other gears just feel too long.

Wouldnt that be the same thing as a k24a2 but with a tad lower compression?

Im in a similar boat, gonna lose the k20a3 for something with a little more power.

Cant decide between k20a2 + cams + kpro VS k24a2 + cams + kpro.

Only other bolt on mod I have is cold air intake, planning on keeping the stock exhaust so it doesnt draw too much attention.

K24A2+Type S trans+kpro=N/Asty Power...
BTW
I want your turbo kit please.

if you can pass smog (if MD even does have smog inspections?) get the K24A2 w/type s tranny + kpro.

otherwise i vote k20a2 for stock'ish fitment and simplicity
