hey guys i have an 02 civic si just swapped a 07 tsx motor in. the issue im having is that when the car is cold it wont stay on. it turns over but the idle just drops untill the car shuts off, i have to hold the gas peddle down to keep the idle up. also i have a cel for idle control system malfunction. can anyone help, let me know if theres something i need to swap over or just maybe something i missed during the swap. thanks for any help.

Well the RBB intake manifolds from 06+ don't have the extra "hole" for the idle air control valve. So essentially, if all you did was use the RBB manifold, Karcepts adapter and your stock EP3 throttle body setup, your idle air control valve is basically not doing anything.

Heres a thread/pictures showing the "problem" in the manifolds:

I was lucky enough that a friend had this weird block off plate thing for the IACV so we put that on, turned off the idle on Kpro and just adjusted the idle on the throttle body.

Since you prob cant get the block plate, you'll have to either find a 04-05 stock TSX manifold or get an RBC. Hope this helps.

Karcepts Idle Air Control Valve Block-Off Plate be the same thing. it should do the trick rite.

The Karcepts and the mani can be modified VERY easily to get a operable IACV. Relying on the throttle stop to maintain the idle will give you a very low idle while warming up.

Mine idles at like 1,300rpms :shrugs:

Then once it warms it stays at about 1,000 but sometimes gets stuck at 1,400 at red lights.

It is kinda annoying, but I don't know how to otherwise.
