well after four years of owning the ep3 since 17,800 miles, she finally cracked six digits, hit 100,000 the other night. I love this car, it puts a smile on my face everyday and has never let me down. She has been JRSC-R'd for 7,000 miles now, still does not burn one drop of oil, grind any gears, make any odd noises, etc. And as most of you know, i ride my car hard. It get's driven spirited, verrry spirited. And raced very often. And it just keeps asking for more. I have many plans with this car yet, and no, im not dumping my A3. I love this motor, i'd be afraid to pull it out because the next engine wont run as strong. when the car had 20K on it, it ran 16.2 at 87. when it had 70K on it, it ran 15.0 at 92. and my last run all motor was a 14.70 at 94. So as the mileage got up, the car got faster lol I will keep you guys posted as the track season cools off and the car runs better with the blower, on the meth and 3.7 pulley i'd be ecstatic to click off a 12.999 lol But enough about my ep3, lets hear some of your guy's stories!

With the new reflash mines running like a champ and fixin to hit 104K. only thing I think might be going bad is my pulley is starting to squeak a little. Haven't replaced the belt since I've had it @ 48K so I guess its time for that stuff to be coming up anyways. I drive the piss outta my car and it hasn't given me a whole lot of problems, besides the ones I've forced onto it.

yea come to think of it something squeaks in the belt system every so often, but if i quick spray the back of the belt lightly with wd40, like one shot, it quit's down. just the belt, not the pulleys.. weird

I'm pushing 120K with my '05. I bought it new with 24 miles on it. I has been completely trouble free for that entire distance. It has never left me stranded or misbehaved too much. The only issues I've had are a squeaky clutch pedal and a leak in my b-pipe. I haven't done much in the way of mods other than a few cosmetic ones but with it now being paid off that money can go towards the go fast stuff I've been lacking

I loved this car so much, that after my first EP (I sadly sold), I bought another one. This one I got for a deal, but it's got 140k on it already. However, it's still running great. I know that it's been through its share of owners, and driven to hell and back. Yet still, it's given me no issues since I've had it. It's only going to get better with all of the upgrades instore for it too. Got to love the EP :)

I thought about this but im too much of a scaredy cat to do it. I keep thinking of worst case scenarios like the belt slipping off or something on my way down the interstate or something.

My mini van was owned by our family since the beginning (2002). My cousin drove it for 6 year. she drove it from home to college and from college to home ONLY. From June of 2008 @ 101K the car was handed over to me b/c she wanted a new car and so I b/c some asshole ran the red light and totaled my 04 jetta 2.0T. I been driving this car ever since, and I just Love the look of this car and every thing about it. My girl friend gets very jealous sometimes b/c I call my ep3 (MY LOVE) lol YET am pushing 122K and still not worried about putting 100K more. However, am planing on replacing the clutch at 130K, just to be safe. but other then that I think this car is the only reason that keeps me going everyday of my life and motivates me to spend money on it after my dad sold my CL9.

Hope to have mine paid off and done with mods in 2 years. I've been successful with this approach so far. I just hope the turbo bug dont bite me like it has before.

Bought my 02' Euro gold ep3 from Virginia with 95K miles on it and drove it home that night to Chicago. Openned her up to 135 and let off. Swapped her out in 08' with a k20z3, 6 speed, jdm ecu and never looked back! She's got 130k on her now and runs like a champ! Minus the crappy K2 shocks that I've replaced 3x's already!!! Only bad thing is that the JDM ecu only gets me to 120mph. :(

I love my EP so much. Everything about the car just makes me smile every time I drive her. Im just over 102k and the only thing Ive needed to replace was a primary 02 a few hundred miles ago. I recently took her on the track for the first time and despite all of the bad rep the car has for not being a well handling car it was absolutely on point. No understeer and just did everything I wanted it to do. After double duty at the track I threw the street pads back on and drover her 5 hours home. Comfortable, quiet, fairly light, and handles great. Id say thats a recipie for a great car :msmile:

197,000 on mine.....got it brand new.....just replaced the motor 4,000 miles ago due to a bent valve. 1 clutch and pressure plate @ 145,000 same tranny . A few minor upkeep parts and Im still going strong. Mine gets daily work duty hauling and towing included every now and then. I def. love my ep and would buy it all over again but w/ HFP this time.
