Welcome!
Well the "old" si 99-00 came with 160hp like ours except it came with 116 ft.lb. tq. I think Someone correct me if Im wrong and the new si comes with 132. They have the old vtec motors motor name B16A2 and we have the new I-Vtec motor called the K20a3. Both are dual overhead cam motors, the old one has vtec and the new one has I-vtec. Interior wise the old Si didnt come with a bad ass interiour like ours did with bad ass seats and the cool shifter. I dont know if it is quite better. I like it better then the old one obviously but some still prefer the old one. Somethings may make it better and some make it worse. Only two things I dont like 1) rev limiter 2) the wieght.

I really don't think the weight is that much different. Does anyone know how much the old Si's weighed? Mine only weighs 2650 with me out of it.

the new Si is supposed to respond better to bolt ons.

year - curb weight - horsepower - torque

2002 - 2744 lbs - 160@6500rpm - 132@5000rpm
2000 - 2601 lbs - 160@7600rpm - 111@7000rpm
1995 - 2390 lbs - 125@6600rpm - 106@5200rpm
1991 - 2284 lbs - 108@6000rpm - 100@5000rpm

well... that's all the info i got from cars.com...

the only thing i can think of is that the i-vtec is supposedly better than the 6th gen's regular vtec & more torque....

i heard because of the new I-VTEC motors. you will get more power and response from the mods you bolt-on.
