For the ep 6 speed swap, i've read that a buddy club short shifter doesnt need to be shaved or modified in order to get to 6th and reverse gear?
Is this right?

Yes, you are correct. There is no need to modify the shifter assembly if you buy the buddyclub spec short shifter.

Some stock shifters also do not require any modification.

Key word. Each of you said some. Some do, some don't. I have a short shifter. I like it. Kbai.

I have the US spec BC Short Shifter. You will have to shave that one in order to get into reverse.
