Possibly planning to stick a k24a2 head on the k20a2 block

is this possible????

Anybody done it before???

Any problems with it????

Any gains from it????

Just thinking about it got a chance to do it.....

Any info would be great thanks

The K24A2 3 lobe head will bolt right up to the K20A2 block and vice versa.




But depending on the year of the head will decide how much of a downgrade it will be compared to a stock K20a2/Z3 head.

ugh i still screwed up ok i got a stock ep3, so the k20a3 not k20a2.....so that will bolt right up too....still power losses....

So your question is will a k24a2 head fit on your k20a3(stock) block?

lol this is a funny start to a thread and idk about the k24a2 head but i kno the k24a1 head bolts right up.

ugh i still screwed up ok i got a stock ep3, so the k20a3 not k20a2.....so that will bolt right up too....still power losses....

You will need Kpro as well.

And you will NEVER exceed the performance of a similarly equipped K20A2.

Swapping out the head only is a lot work and cost compared to a complete A2 swap. You can swap out 2 entire engines and transmissions in the time it takes to do a head swap in the car.

yeah.........i need a valve job so its coming apart anyway......easier just to swap the block in my case

swapping in the k20a2 would be nice just dont have the funds right now but it is definately on the list to do

but I hear you guys definately a pain to do but kinda without a choice at the moment......i run this car any longer and i will need a swap...lol

its been sitting mostly

If you do not have Kpro do not try it.

Try swapping in a K24A1 head if you need a head and are looking for an upgrade from the stock head, also consider installing typeS valve springs(can be found rather cheap sometimes when the typeS guys upgrade)then you are ready for stg2 cam's, or even kpro and a vtec killer setup, in the future.

yeah no k pro yet........soon hopefully......

what problems would i get from that head with no k pro?????

yeah dont want too......just need to get it running again....needs a valve job so i need to do something...just thinking might as well upgrade if possible
