If its true... whats the point of this engine, honda makes a siR, a sport model civic and you dont even get real vtec, thats just stupid.

Are you a new student? And no it don't really suck, there are advantages. I mean I'm not 16 anymore so I'm not really into hearing vtack kicking in etc. I am into spool though, thats a man's type of noise.

Just because we don't have 'true' vtec, doesn't mean it's stupid. It's a reliable motor, that provides enough power to be fun and sporty for the every day person. Keep in mind, car sales are aimed at the masses - not for the few that mod them.

The A3 does indeed have true VTEC, just that it is the base economy version with 2 lobes. If you desire a 3 lobe VTEC engine, do a swap.

The A3 is a good motor. Dont know why people bash on it. Good torque, and really good fuel consumption.

Especially when gasoline was $5 a gallon, while people were crying at the pump cause their car only takes premium, I was singing and happy cause I could use 87oct.

well i figured id break the bad news to you original poster... the Aston Martin DBS... it doesnt have V-Tec. it only has a silly v12...no V-Tec. :(

Do you understand the concept of V-Tec? You should see how it operates and what it really does...then once you truely understand it, youll think this k-series motor actually is pretty good.

view those and then rethink your post before you believe everything you read on the internet. it uses that V-Tec technology...no matter how you look at it...you can call it what you want. it utilizes that system. weather or not it does what you "think" it should do is something else. the motors have V-Tec. its just a version of V-Tec.

i heard spoon armband/reservoir covers add at least 30hp depending on how they are positioned... so that will offset the sticker removal
