PVC valve. I don't have one anymore. Jrsc. But i believe it should go in the intake manifold.
Shake it. If you don't hear a rattle from the ball inside you'll need to replace it.

That is not a OEM Kseries PCV, that is for sure. What is your setup?

Mostly stock......

If you are "mostly" stock then that component in the picture does not belong on your car.

How about you take a picture of where you think that component belongs or was mounted.

Are you the original owner or not?

Looks like a D-series motor PCV!!

it goes inside your motor. just drill a hole in the head and plop it in. then plug the hole with gum and duct tape.

I am the original owner, I took off the stock box and put on a SRI for around 4 years, I decided to go back w/ my box .....I have not done anything to it but store it. When I put it back on I came across this whole thing. It was in the spot where my intake air sensor is supposed to go I think.....right before the box on the upper pipe. I didnt remember where the sensor went until I looked at the service manual and it showed that it belonged in that spot. WEIRD.....:frusty:

I have been known to drop totally unrelated engine/emissions components into buddies parts piles when they are working on their engines, they just about loose it trying to figure out what and where these parts came from.....

Or place a spare thrust washer down on the floor as your buddy button's up a freshly rebuilt engine....or a oil jet or something interesting like that.......
