Ok so I was watching tv the other day when this commercial came on for the auto relief group and all of a sudden I seen this car and I had to double take at it and I seen it right, it was an ep3. Pretty crazy its the first ep that I have seen on tv.

i'd be upset too if i was paying 412.42, although it is a typeR... or at least a look-a-like

thats not a real type r. look at the headlights, front bumper and side skirts. its either de-badged or they peeled of the decals on the sideskirts too

well its like when you see a ford or something in a random commercial like that, they either blur or take out the blue oval emblem and F-150 or whatever away. Some movies do that too.

Well of course its not a real type r. Never said it was. There is one way you can tell its not a type r and its the side markers. Type r's do not come with sidemarkers. Plus if it was a europe type r it would have a tag on the front.

On the subject of EP3's on TV, if any Canadian EPHatch members watch Corner Gas, there is a EY EP3 in the episode where Brent's dad steals the lawn gnomes.
Right at the beginning.
Brent makes fun of it :(

Yes they did,the 02-03 Type-Rs got side markers(Clear) and the 04-05 face lifted type-R's didnt have side markers, but this EP looks like an 02-03 so it would have them and the 02-03 SI's didnt have 4 lug, but this EP has 5 lug which would be what a Type-R has and I'm sure they removed all tags and decals for photo purposes.

This car looks legit type-r to me. .
