The other night my back tire hit a sharp object cutting the sidewall and went flat in about 10 seconds. I replaced it with the spare an drove home. The tires i have on the car right now are already half way if not more used and i was planning on buying a fresh set of 4 in a month or two. I have on it right not 205/60/15 and was wondering would it be ok to buy a used 195/60/15 to replace it for now and ride on for a few weeks? found one local that is the same tire and matches just its not a 205. I would think the two tires would have the same height but i could be wrong. Anyone?

Umm yes and no. You should NOT replace just the one tire with a different tire size.

If you are going to replace all your tires in a "month or two" why not just do it now? You're not that much away.

ok little more info, at the moment i dont have a job and still have rent due each month so my money isnt there this very moment. I was looking for a cheap temp. fix till i get back on my feet. a 25 dollar tire compaired to 300 is sorta a big difference dont ya think? trust me any other day i would have replace them all with the same size with the quickness just hard times right now. My question was simply would i be ok on a 195 for a few weeks and i went ahead and just bought it . its the same brand and model tire just a hair smaller.

just put it on the rear and you'll be good. just keep it off the front!

youll be alright. i work at a shop and see people with one or two different size tires all the time and most of them dont even realize it.

for anyone who might search for this later i did put the 195 on and it rides fine , no difference if you need a cheap fix this works for the time being
