Okay, well a friend of mine has a prb ecu kpro and he's willing to sell it to me for 400. Will it work on my car as it would with his k20a2. My friend wasn't sure if it would work with my k20a3 so he told me to check and make sure. I'm sorry if this have already been cover, I'm just kinda desperate to know right now. I don't wanna spend 1g to get my ecu kpro if this prb ecu would work the same as if my stock ecu is kpro.

it will work, just turn off the immobilizer in the parameters section when your computer is plugged in or else your car will not start. Make sure its from an 02-04 and not the dual harness from an 05-06

Yeah, PRB's will work fine in an ep. You just won't be able to use the reverse lock out. It's a great thing to have if you ever upgrade to a full a2 with 6spd swap.

P.S. I'm jealous you got K-pro for $400 lol.

I'm so excited. I picked up the ecu, now what to do. Could I make my a3 rev line higher? All I have for mods is cai.

just run the a3 reflash program and call it a day (it raises revs)

Go to Hondata's website and start reading about tuning. If you want to use Kpro, it's STRONGLY recommended to do some street tuning, as no two cars run exactly alike. As time goes on you'll have to tweak your tune occasionally.

As Talonxracer says, "Kpro is plug and play, and play, and play, and play....."

with the prb you keep the reverse lockout function, prc you lose it.

I freakin love k pro! Just wondering, will the vtec killer cam setup benefit me at all? I just want something daily driven, so nothing really hardcore.

Is the k20a3 hondata reflash program, under k20a3-civic-high octane on kpro? cause i read the k20a3 reflash on the website, on there the rev is set at 7700. On the kpro its set at 7300, so whats the deal?

That's the right one. You can change the rev limit to 7700 if you want.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He now has an ecu with reverse lockout(PRB), but it will do nothing for him until he gets a 6spd tranny.
