View Full Version : Product to use for revitalizing exterior plastic trims?
hey all,
im not exactly sure what its called, but im talking about the plastic trim around the outside of the window on both doors of the EP
i think the same plastic extends to the base of the side mirrors, but anyhow, on with my question
my EP's trim is starting to fade, not too much, but i can tell that it is not as black as the trim on another car that has been garaged (my car is mostly parked outside since i got it)
sunlight is not really intense over here at the bay, but i do want to do something for the EP
so what product would you guys recommend/have used?
right now i know of Mother's Back to Black, and Forever Black, but i'd rather ask around first

I would say for the time being just use Aerospace 303 Protectant. I use a product called black wow. (which is totally awesome) but it doesnt agree with certain surfaces. and its 25.00 for about 4oz. Its awesome to have but I only use it on super bad stuff. Otherwise you can use aerospace. its sp40 and not greasy.

I have also had good luck with Optimum Tire Gel...apply with a foam brush, wait a few minutes to soak in and then buff off with a microfibre or terry cloth towel. Works great and leaves a nice dark black surface.

most of these type of dressings/cleaners are all the same, you can use them for rubber, plastic, vinyl, etc... For all my rubber and plastics all over my car i only use one product.
