Hi all - I have a couple of tire questions that are hopefully pretty quick. I apologize in advance since I know that some of this material has been covered in the past, but not in the detail in which I am interested.

I own a 2003 Civic Si, that is entirely stock. It has a set of Goodyear Eagle RS-A's in the front with about 4000 miles on them, and a set of Radial GT's (that's what the tires say on them, I'm not familiar with the brand...) that have at least 40000 miles on them at the back (maybe as many as 69000 on them).

I am looking for an upgrade, with the following restrictions:
1. I'm not looking to buy new wheels, I'm going to use the stock ones.
2. I do not wish to roll the fenders or anything like that, and I do not wish for any rubbing.
3. I would like the stickiest tires that I can get. I don't drive in snow, though in the winter I do see temperatures around 30-40 F. I also see a lot of rain in the winter.
4. I would like my speedometer and odometer to be as accurate as can be.
5. I would describe my driving style as enthusiastic. I would appreciate sharp steering responses, and very little, uh, wobble? Not sure what the right term is...

With all this in mind, would it be possible to use tires of the size 205/55/R15? What about 225/50/R15? And are there any summer tires you guys recommend for the purpose?

Finally, if it's thirtyish degrees F outside, how poor do summer tires perform? (No snow, just cold and wet).

Thanks for taking the time to read!

i had 205/55/15 Yokohama avid v4s and liked them. got 60k miles out of them.

i think 225 is going to be way to wide. too much sidewall bulge. 205's almost looked like too much

Thanks for the response! So 205/55/15 fit on the stock wheels and did not exhibit any rubbing, with the fenders untouched?
