So i changed my back brakes today and the passenger side went fine but i think the drivers side may not be fine. After everything was done and put back together my wheel is really hard to spin on my drivers side. So my buddy and i went to applebees and when we got there and got out we could smell my brakes burning. And they were so hot you could feel the heat from five feet away. i took it all apart three times and it seems fine but as soon as you tighten the two bolts that hold the center piece down with the pads it then is really hard to move??? Does anyone know what going on? thanks

you were able to turn the piston in all the way

ya i turned it in fine and but i didnt know if it was in far enough so i took it apart again and turned it in again. The pads seem to be just grabbing the top of the rotor? I can already see it wearing down.

see if the dimples on the back of the pad are lined up with the crossed lines on the brake piston

damn i didnt check that. Do you think that would make it just grab the top? And on my old pads it seemed they were worn alot more on the top then the bottom.

lube up the slide pins in the caliper and make sure those slide tracks at the top and bottom of the caliper mounting bracket are clean and also lubed

What are the slide pins? The slide tracks are the the rods at the top and bottom with the boots on them right?
