So I'm off to work this morning, early. 3rd day in at a new job, 2 months in just moving to Virginia...I walk out to my car and my remote unlock button wasn't working with the doors. We had some showers the other day so I thought maybe water got under the hood...so I checked the hood. As I walk around I notice my hood is popped...curious I open the hood entirely and then I see my aem short air intake is stolen. Wires to my battery are cleanly cut. Wires, hoses, brackets, parts are everywhere. My poor ep3...:mcry:

This person obviously knew what the hell he was doing because the wires are neatly cut and required tools to get the intake out. And they knew I had that intake under the hood being that they were prepared. I can't imagine anyone randomly selecting a car, popping the hood, and hoping they get lucky. I work on my car alot, and I wonder if it caught the wrong attention in my neighborhood.

I'm going to post pics later tonight...as sad as it is, lets face it we all want to see pictures.

yea it is! my father and i were planning on getting into it this weekend as we ordered some parts and was prepping it up for it's 100k maintenance. oh well. we decided theres too many small components missing, wires cut, tubes twisted...and pieces just broken it would be too much to do it ourselves. geico will pay for a fix.

I've read on other forums that quite a few Hondas have the hood release cable run near the drivers fender well. Are there any clips missing or damage there or anything?

good point, never thought about that. i think they jammed something under the front of the hood (theres a picture of the front hook, but its blurry) looks like as though they used some leverage to lift the hook to pop open the hood.
