I've been on this forum for about 2 months, and I finally bought my ep on Halloween night (seriously). This is my first time to write on the forum and I just became a member today.

Anyways, Last night I was driving my car back from my fiancee's house and I was heading north on I-45 in the middle of the cold and rain, and my car stalled out. I had to carefully dodge cars and safely pull over to the side of the freeway. I tried to start the car. No luck. (I babied my car untill 1000 miles and it only has 1150 miles on the car right now.) The engine will turn-over but won't start. I had 1/3 tank gas in the car. Oil checked out O.K.. Everything SEEMED normal on the car. So I was stranded until I got towed. You can imagine how pissed and frustrated I was and still am right now. Brand-new car and it dies on me. I should have kept my 1991 crx (as least I didn't have any problems with it).

So I towed my ep to David Mc David Honda (where it was purchaced) last night (Sunday) and droped off the keys in the drop box at the service dept. They had to push the car into the bay this monday morning; and I sit here waiting until the tech guy takes a look.

I don't think anybody has had a problem on the forum like mine, and I'll let you all know what it is as soon as I find out. This is very disappointing. Let me know if anyone has similar experiences. I all ready contacted Honda of America's Customer Service department and told them the news.

I hope it's something simple, that's quite a peculiar problem. At least you've got a good warranty to cover it right away.

I have a case# with America Honda Co. regarding a noise while turning left...they are supposed to get involved with getting it fixed. It's been to the dealer 3 times now. Once American Honda gets involved they are usually pretty helpful.

I guess I am not the only one to have bad luck with my ep. I only had my car a couple of weeks and my car would not start either. Honda eventually found out that a bracket was broken somewhere in the fuel system and it was causing my fuel gage to read wrong. The gage showed I had fuel but the car was actually out of gas. Tell them to check for that, it could be your problem. Honda put a brand new bracket on it I have never had a problem since. That was about 7 months ago. Let me know what you find out, good luck!

Yes, please let us know what the problem was so we can check for it or at least be aware of it. They can fix it, probably just a fluke.

I just called David McDavid Honda and told the service rep of the possibility of the bracket being broken along the fuel system.

Thanks for the tip. They still at this point don't know what is wrong with the car.:'(

Well guys,
Seven and a half hours later, and they found the solution. The "coils" came loose and because of that, it was preventing the spark plugs from firing. VERY STRANGE.

I have never heard of something like this happening, but its now fixed and I'm off to pick up my baby.

It sure took them long enough to find it.

I hope that this helps some of you all out.

Thanx

Glad it wasn't a major issue. We sometimes forget that even though machines out most parts of our car together, sometimes things slip through the cracks and we'll have a minor issue like this. Good deal on it being fixed promptly.

EP2002,
No surprise you got one problem EP. Did you ask them to fix the leaking rear compartment too? Try to talk to Ken at service, all are monkeys at the service.

I edited the "troll's" posts. Since his statements sounded really gay, I altered them to how they sounded to me.

Stop trolling, we don't like "yer kind" here.

Just stupid nonsense. He goes into people's real posts and talks about how 4 doors are better than 3 or 2. Sedans rule and hatches suck.

That kind of crap.

Sorry about civic-pi. He purposely did this to have some fun. He was also wanting to see what it took to get kicked off.

Don't let any this be a reflection of me.

Thanx,

Pedram

BTW: I'm going back to the dealership because my engine check light is on. Probably nothing major (i hope)
