So after my engine build I ended up with a P1106 Baro sensor code. Any ideas?????

I believe the barometric sensor is located on the ECU itself, and is used to measure the ambient air pressure as a baseline for the MAP sensor.

Here's the troubleshooting section from the factory service manual:

Reset the ECM.
Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm with no load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
Test-drive with the transmission in 4th gear.
Accelerate for 5 seconds using wide open throttle.
Check for a Temporary DTC with the scan tool.

Is Temporary DTC P1106 indicated?
YES - Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM, replace the original ECM.
No - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.

What Ill really need to know is if indeed the sensor is in the ecu. Cause already tried that SM test and thelight is there. Are the ecu key coded ? can I barrow a friend of mines to test????

The ECUs are programmed to the ignition/immobilizer. You cannot swap a stock ECU in without having it resynced at a dealership. If you know someone with a Kpro ECU, they can disable the immobilizer check on their ECU and test it in your car.
