Maint light...

Did my oil change last night.
I went to reset the Maintenance light...
it blinked once and then reared it's ugly head again. It doesn't want to clear.

What to do? :mfrown:

have you tried multiple times? positive you are doing it correctly? perhaps saying "please" will coax it to reset

hehehe... your probably right. Sorry guys. I should have said PLEASE. won't happen again.
hmm... as far as doing it right this is what I do:

1.) turn off engine
2.) press and hold trip thing-a-ma-bobber
3.) turn key to the on position
4.) Maint blinks once and stays on
5.) shout an expletive

please help!

keep holding that knob until the light disappears, then start the car or turn the key to off. it'll blink once but you gotta keep holding it till it goes away

FIXED!

awesome. you were right. had to hold that sucker for like 4-5mins. But it finally went away.
