I'm asking an almost identical question in the new wheel fitment thread. If you can ignore the mudslinging that's going on in there, check it out for some good links to offset calculators and basic offset advice pertinent to our cars.

In order to get your car to look like that you'll need your 8 inch wheels in a +30 or +35 offset. But, you'll rub in the rear. If you notice in that link the car's fenders are at least rolled if not pulled. They appear to clear but once you take a corner or have weight in your car that fender lip is going to touch. Hope this helps

this guy ive been talking to says that +38 would prolly be the ideal offset. is the deep look of his wheel caused by the 8 wide rim and the offset?

Works just fine :mwink:. I just used 30 and 35 since they're more common offsets. But anything close to them will work. Even +40 will work, just the closer to 35 will give you the flushness that is in that pic you posted. The deep look is more affected by te width/design of the wheel. Take the rpf-1's for example. That are convex at the spokes in all offsets until they get to 9inches in diameter. Then they start to get flat and then concave. But granted a low offset wheel, I.E. +15 and below will HAVE to have a deep lip. It's just the nature of the wheel offset. but unless you want to go with such low offsets which will cause strain on your bearings (low offsets are usually designed for the rears of rwd vehicles and the hellawack crew) you'll need to go with a wide wheel. How wide depends onthe design of the particular wheel.
