Does anyone have the link for modding our 5 speed shifter to work with 6 speed trans missions? I need to find out where to notch the shifter so that I can engage reverse and 6th gear. Tranny is out of a 07 si. (yes I already have all the rsx brackets)

not sure about the notch but I am pretty sure if you are using a BCSS you don't need to notch could be wrong tho....

From what I have read the BCSS does allow you to not have to notch it. I will see if I can find the pictures of notching the stock one.

There you go, all the pics for notching the shifter. It's on an element but it should be the same basic idea:

I'd LOVE to have a 6th gear for cruising. In that link it sounds like you can add a 6th gear to the transmission without actually buying a 6spd. Sounds weird but I know very little about the mechanics of transmissions other than the very basics so could this work on our cars or is a rsx 6spd swap a better option? I believe i've read that the rsx gears are closer than ours which keeps 6th gear the same as our 5th which would completely eliminate MY reason for wanting a 6th gear. Hmmmmm

You can. The K20A3 tranny you can add the 6th gear to the transmission. There's a thread about it along with some install stuff and some part numbers. I'm looking at putting in the TSX 5th and 6th gear. Longer gears than the DC5 and EP3 so my rpm's should be even lower in overdrive. Here's the thread:

I believe clubep3 does it. They send you a pallet and you strap your tranny to it. They do it all for you and ship it back. Probably still cheaper than finding a Type S tranny in a junkyard.

i think it wouldn't make a difference if you change it to rsx-s tranny and you wont gain any hp and torque by doing that, ep3 has short gear ratio maybe thats why we dont have a 6th gear
but i dont mind getting it LOLz :D
it will make your car much more fun to drive

I have all of my fun in the first 4 gears. I want the last two to be my gas sipper gears.
