So heres by first build thread..
A week ago I spun a bearing on my hatch. So I brought it to a shop and they dropped the oil pan, hoping for a quick fix, but then they informed me they would need to pull the motor and rebuild it. For around 4-5 grand.
So, I found a bottom end from a friend, and brought her home and took her apart.
Im pretty sure the motor had a bad oil pump, because at idle the oil light would be on/flickering.
Also, when i would hit vtec, the motor would run extremely rich (11.4ish a/f) and we couldnt tune it down, no matter what we did, or how much fuel we took away, we couldnt get it to run right.
vtec is used via oil pressure right? So low oil pressure in vtec would result in a lack of air to the motor..?
Mainly the goal of this is to have my car running mint again.
