Finished this little project a while ago an figure I'd post it.

Heres what is done to it...

-Cleaned thoroughly inside and out
-Bead blasted and sprayed with aluminum engine enamel
-Manifold cover stays shaved aswell as other needless casting bumps
-Vaccum fitting for the brake booster drilled and tapped, fitted with a 90 deg 6AN fitting

IMO this was the ultimate clean and purposeful looking setup out, but unfortunatle I'm not going to get the chance to install it. Plans for an A2 call for an RBC so I've got no use for her anymore. It's for sale, pm me if you might be interested!

It looks great! Too bad there's no good way to replicate the casting on the smoother parts that you shaved. Then it would be amazing! :)

I did a little bit. I used a wire wheel against the metal to get it hot and it texturized the surface similar to the casting. Its not as defined but its there. I can post a close-up if youre interested

Oh, don't get me wrong, what you did was great. I just mean that it would be awesome if there was a casting "tool" that you hit with a hammer like a punch that replicated the casting marks. Easy to make an Alum. manifold look OEM then. :)

Yeah that would definitely be nice to get a seamless cast finish. I was bugging the hell out of me that the texture was gone, but luckily the wire wheel helped just enough to blend it in.
