Catalytic Converter Help

Ok so my check engine light came on after i changed my clutch
it had p1166 n p1167
i changed both o2 sensors and only p1167 was left
today i changed my sencondary o2 sensor with a new denso replacement cleared the codes and the check engine light came back on
i dont kno what to do anymore
its burning gas like crazy and the only thing left is to change the cat
any ideas before i do this
i dont want to change the cat and the stupid check engine light doesnt go away
anyone pls i need help!!!

if it truly was the cat and you have a working secondary 02 sensor then it should have a P0420 code which is cat inefficiency.

I think your problem might lie elsewhere...but you can use a cheap defouler to bypass the secondary o2 readings and see if it really is the cat.

what else would cause p1167 other than o2 sensors and the cat?

My father wants the borla exhaust, will the walker cat. conv. could be a bolt on install.
