Just don't do it a lot. That's why there is a rev limiter.

i not only hit redline, but went past it once.

the scariest moment in my life. i never will again get on it in first gear. luckily, i had a fast enough reaction to push the clutch in before the valves figured out exactly what i had done.

Ummm all my motors should be past blown. They made a motor with rpm's that could be used and felt when you are driving. Your motor will be fine. I probably take my d16 civic that the motor is built and a supercharger on past redline almost on a daily basis... even before it was built I did. No worry to freak out, you own a honda!

I rev past the stock redline with the hondata reflash and my motor has been fine stock internals and 92k on the motor

i have redline set to 7700 in Kpro and take it up to it on a regular basis. I set it to 8100 once like the tuner did when I was getting dynotuned and the motor doesn't sound too happy. I'm just waiting to fuck up some valves or springs eventually.

i always go to redline everytime i fill my tank, and i remember once i accidentally push my car above redline and apparently it rev back but i kept pushing the gas pedal so i did it twice before i notice and ifeel stupid by doing it and didnt pay attention to my rpm cause of the traffic looolz and i redline it from 1st to 3rd and i cant go redline on 4th cause ill pass 80 mph if i do that

but as of now nothing happened, i did it around 95k miles now i have 114k

i think it climb up fast cause ep3 has a short gear ratio

I think you mean high gear ratio? Anyways, if I can redline my 01 civic LX while on neutral and let it hit the limiter like 20 times, then our precious K20A3 motors should be fine.

hahah kseries is a kseries not a bseries or d lolz
atleast kseries is more stronger than those motor and its not a problem hitting rev limiter but dont abuse it too much once in a awhile is ok unless your planning to get a swap sooner lolz

the stock rev limiter is there for a reason. so you dont break anything. you could probably bounce off the limiter every day and youd be fine. just upkeep on the maintenence.
note: doesnt matter what gear your in, its okay. but try for it in 5th gear.!

I have not been able to redline in 5th, very difficult in 4th.
Max speed is at least 147 mph. Don't ask me how I know.
