spoon drop in filter washable???

i need help
i wash my spoon filter and the second layer of sponge just melted
can i still use it?
and also theres still some left but im too afraid that if it goes inside my motor

I honestly wouldn't chance it. Just go grab a Fram from your local auto parts store until you find out for sure. That way you have an extra just in case. Take some pics of how the Spoon filter looks after you washed it.

yeah youre not supposed to wash it. I had a spoon filter so I know what layer of foam youre talking about. Just pick up an oem filter, drop ins don't do anything.
