View Full Version : Entire dash removal

Just recently picked up an 03 ep3, guy I bought it from was moving furniture with the car and scratched the hell out of the dash, I pick up my new dash this weekend, and was wandering if anyone has attempted this. Not just the center trim pieces, that seems easy, but the entire dash. Any feedback, pics, video any help really at all would be appreciated.

There is the complete How TO in the Helms manual for our EP3. If you don't have it already I would greatly recommend you to buy it! I'll try to find the explanation and post it back here.

Well I don't know why but the PDF version I have of my Helms manual is protected and I can't print pages... I was able 1 month ago but not now haha Weird... Anyway I found a website that Host the Manual.

There is one bolt on each side of dash that is almost impossible to take off without right tools. Good luck with your removal, its gonna take a while. Make sure to mark where everything belongs.

Use small baggies to keep track of bolts and screws etc.

Just did this on Sunday. Make sure when you get the dash back on to put the bolts (3) on the drivers side back in first and make sure the lower bolt holes line up under where the center console goes (one on each side). Then put the bolts on the passenger side in. FYI you will have to remove the steering column, passenger airbag, the center console then the whole dash and bar in one piece. Be prepared to have some place to work on it once it is out of the car. You will then separate the dash from the bar for replacement.

Have fun, and have about a six hour block to do this (and plenty of bandaids).
