i bought my car, oooo, say 4 months ago and i just saw this switch out of no where, yet i DONT HAVE fog lights but its where the switch would be? right?

Looks like it used to be wired, but obviously isn't now. Maybe for subwoofers or neons somewhere on the car? It's definitely NOT an OEM switch...

yeah most likely neons or something. check for old brackets for them. They may have been to lazy to take them off

meh, its crooked, tilted a bit conter-clockwise and looks like a basic PC 0=off, 1=on switch.

Good news is you can rip the sucka out and follow the wires! Just yank it and see if its even hooked up to anything.

Also, you can buy a replacement "blank" panel for the cheap:

Anyway I don't think this is a killswitch as putting a killswitch right there is kinda dumb. Should have been for fogs or LED in car... check above the kick pedal to see if the with grommet is open/cut that would mean he had fog before you...

EDIT: or just check where the wires on the switch (if any) leads.

Have you looked under the dash yet?
Try getting under there and see if the wires are cut or not.
If not, maybe you can trace em and see where they're leading to

i diffidently check the wire-ings tomorrow, my front doesnt have the "PRE-cuts" for fogs, i tryed driving with the switch on both sides "up and down", i tried at idle and no "electric lag" i thought it was oem but ITS NOT!

so you said your car doesnt have fogs but go and check your bumper if theres a hole or any work done on your bumper grill
or try checking under your steering wheel there should be a wire connected to it if not just keep it incase you wanna get a fogs in the future lolz

gotta love that self distruction switch. Rare option. Why dont you pull the switch out and see if its wired up at all? and if it is, maybe go wire chasing. Make an afternoon of it.

yea just got off work but its raining and rain with electrical wires is DANGEROUS, i asked the dealership i got if from and they said to me "it was never on the car" HA, I LOVE THIS BULL-SHIT. I hope its for fogs or else a wire to dis gauge power to subs. AND ITS NOT A DEATH SWITCH. i did a quick look under the steering wheel (where two panels falls down), and the fuse place, no wires cut to my knowledge. MY FRONT BUMBER FOG LIGHT PLACE IS STILL CONTACT NO HOLES ALSO WITH THE GRILL.

BUT IT CANT BE, our car goes from 12v-16v when there is v-tec WITCH IT COMES OEM ON ALL SI MODLES, people say it (V-TEC) happends at 2k (like the dx,cx,hx) but i think it really switches at 4k

IM SURE ITS FOR SOMETHING, cant just be there for no reason
