^^^^This is a very valid question. Either frank motor or start with a k24a2.

Is the K24A2 a straight swap, other than Kpro?

it's as straight up as the misionary position.

who would have thought that last week when I posted in this thread that I would be stuck doing a swap myself, 2 days after posting my intake valves all kissed the pistons and now I am needing to swap. I'm sticking with just a bolt-on k24a1 though because I have to pay for labor since I don't have the time or tools for a swap.

ouch. How did that happen?

you should contact Papituyo... he's in the same state as you and has some killer deals on k-motors.
I got my k24a2 from him. Stand up guy. His motor has also stood up to my abuse. Turned over on the first try.

how many more of these threads must be made? if you really want to know why dont you search the threads. maybe look in the 1/4 mile thread or the dyno thread or search youtube

I was running skunk2 cams and my tensioner failed and I wouldn't be surprised if there was install error involved somewhere. I was having oil pressure issues since the install so I was running a higher vtec point that seemed to work well or so we thought.

I would contact Dave, but I doubt he can beat a 47k mile k24a1 with 6 month warranty for $750 delivered to the shop
