hey all i have a k24a1(stock motor). long story but basically the shop i went to set my vtec to 5600 rpm and i told them that wasnt right so then they put it at 2400, its dyno tuned with vtec at 2400. is this the right engagment?

2200rpm for K20A3 I think. Since the k24a1 is a CR-V engine that redlines at 6500 RPM, I would at least agree that VTAAAAK engagement at 5600 RPM is wrong.

if it's tuned, then it should be set where the low and high cam torque curves cross. Stock it is 2200 or 2100 something like that, but I think I had heard some putting it around 3.4-3.6k. I would tell you because I may be swapping one in next week, but I am on the fence of getting a certified pre-owned 2009 civic si with 10k miles or paying 2200 for a motor and swap labor since I don't have the tools nor time to do a swap, otherwise I would do it myself.
