nice! finally going into the jdm scene.

Yea I've always wanted a jdm front bumper, I just couldn't justify spending the godly amount of money it usually costs, finally found a good deal on one painted tafetta and I jumped on it. Let me know the next time you do one of those big photo shoots, I'd love to join your guys crew.

Honestly I didnt do it myself, a buddy did at a SD install day way back... I've never had any problems tho.

Thanks, yea just got a new set a few months back. I LOVE these wheels, always have since the moment I saw them on an ep. My first set, one of the wheels got a hairline crack in the rim, right where a spoke connects to it, so i had to rock some rotas until I could find a new set of the gramlights (being discontinued they are very very difficult to find) so now I have 7 of them, got some spares in case i ever damage one again

I'll probably need some help next weekend if your free. I hope to be putting the engine back in by then.

Update: I've cleaned both the engine and transmission. Wow, its amazing the difference some degreaser and a few wire brushes can make.

Update:
This is taking a lot longer than expected... There are literally issues with EVERY SINGLE THING I try to do!!! and there is never enough time in the days... anyways I'm finally making progress and hope to have it up and running next weekend. Here is what I've been doing since the last update
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040367.jpg
I removed my oil pan, and tapped and welded in a fitting for my oil return, Also welded a bung into my downpipe for my wideband sensor
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/IMG_1245.jpg
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040376.jpg
Completely diss-assembled my brakes so I can clean and paint them, should have that done in a couple days
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040394.jpg
Oil feed installed (finding the right fitting to thread into the block, major Pain in the ASS!!)
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040434.jpg
Got the engine back in, still gotta finesse the motor mounts to fit right, and start to reassemble everything
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040455.jpg
Finally got the last parts I needed from Honda, This is all the OEM stuff I'm replacing
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040427.jpg
These wire harness clips were really a pain to figure out as well, I ended up just ordering a few of almost every one in order to figure it out (the honda diagram is really frustrating)
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040429.jpg
So I thought that having my seats covered in a blanket would protect them from this little beast... but I was wrong, he still found a way to dig his claws through and cause minor damage... its just an excuse to get Recaros down the road
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040251.jpg

Do to issues with my autopower roll cage not fitting right, and my realization climbing through that cage would be bad for my already injured back... I've decided to cut off the nubs and just have the roll bar portion.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040473.jpg

Finally cleaned my Progress coilovers up and installed new OEM bushings
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/the1986/L1040470.jpg

More to come in a few days

Yea they are the OEM top hats, and no I havn't gotten the new bolts I need for the innovatives yet. Im going to call a local bolt supply shop tomorrow, but because of the holiday they most likely are closed and I'll have to wait until tuesday. I didnt think about everything shutting down for this holiday weekend or I would have just gone and bought the bolts on friday

good luck with that. plan on getting either the avids or innovatives, but leaning towards the avids. Was it a pain in the ass installing the mounts?

Thanks man, its not as legit as your build, you have alot of really nice parts man! i gotta try to ball on a budget, and build it myself in my parent's garage...

I bought it used from another member on here, can't remember exactly how much I paid, 300ish if I recall correctly, but i had to completely re-paint it

Ya I'm not going for massive performance, I just want more power than stock. Plus I want to retain my cat, so i can at least still be somewhat legal here in CA. In retrospect I should have just got a complete emusa kit... I think i ended up spending more sourcing all the little things myself... This is my first time doin a turbo, so I figure I'll use this as a learning experience.

I'll find out when I get to drive it... I've heard its much better with an a2 or z1, its similar to the rbc but a bit bigger, and can be ported more as well. It will probably not be the best with my a3, but i'm hoping with the turbo can build boost quick enough and it won't be too sluggish in the low rpm
