waz up ephatchers ?
I found a good deal on a set of stoptech big brake kit a lil while ago and I wanted to ask what do you guys think about this deal ?
- it comes with a set of slotted / drilled rotors , and I wanted to see how bad the noise level is going to be ????

- currently I'm running stock up front with Hawk dtc60 << autocross days >> and Hawk HPS for DD

- BTW: I be tracking my car sometimes soon so do you all think its a good time for upgrade ?

This is a Reference and not what I'm buying:

IMO bbk's are a great upgrade if you're gonna be driving/pushing your car hard. I have bbk's on both my tsx's and it's a night and day difference between stock. If you're autox'ing and doing lap days at the track, then you'll definitely benefit from the upgrade.

i'm partial to bbk. if u track ur car a lot then i could see the use, if not it prolly would be more of a bling thing then performance. sticky tires and some nice break pads will suffice for most dd/autox'ers.

just upgrade to rsx type s front brakes and stainless lines....best idea i ever made, cheap and major difference

I ran with DTC60 last week and i have to say that it felt good although it was hard for me to get use to it and with those, I think I go through another set of rotor next week.
anyway and I agree with sticky tires , but I was thinking about doing a bit of upgrade up on front brakes plus my ep is also my DD too
thx for your input

I was really going to that last year be4 I buy my new rims yet the only problem with that is that I have to go 5 lug instead which means new wheels and sadly new tires
thx for your input sir

All in all
anyone knows how bad the noise is going to be with a set of drilled / slotted rotors ????

i would just do slotted rotors, dont do drilled and slotted because drilled rotors can get hairline cracks in them...there is a thread on here somewhere explaining it

i have slotted rotors with 0 noise

Were you thinking of purchasing the Stoptech kit in the Classifieds section?

if you are tracking/autoXing your car who cares about the noise.
