so i have been running the dc raceheader for a few years now and im sick of the check engine light.i did the o2 mechanical sim and it worked for a few weeks then the light came on.i just put it back to the stock header for now to go through emissions. Im gunna put the header back on and want no check engine light. I cant seem to find the electrical o2 sim that ppl say works.

there is no bulb

as long as the o2 sim is long enough so that the sensor is away from the flow of exhaust gas is should work...just search around and you will find it

there is no bulb
The check engine light

right, there is no bulb you can take out for the check engine light...there are boards on the back of the gauge cluster

and even if he can the code will still be stored in the computer causing him to fail inspection

Word..learned something new today..I have never had my cluster off and just know my crx had bulbs because I took my check engine bulb out. I live in Md and we don't have emission inspections but I bet thay sh*t sucks

In hindsight I realize my response was less than helpful. Here's a link for how to make a mechanical O2 sim:

I didn't have to buy an O2 wiring extension like many people say you have to. I simply removed a short section of the wire from the loom and cut two of the electrical tape bands that the factory had bundling the O2 wire with the rest of the harness. That gave me plenty of room. Re-tape and bundle as necessary.
